Code? There's a CODE? Sure there is... It's called the CVC (California Vehicle Code) -- and -- a bicycle is in fact, a VEHICLE too. As the owners of a bicycle shop, we become friends with our customers and we always encourage all riders (our friends) to obey the laws where they ride. We know, REALLY WE KNOW, it is tempting to run through that red light because you KNOW no one is going to hit you, but don't do it. You may get hit - with a TICKET! Same goes for trail riders folks. Many parks have rules and regulations about bicyclists and where they are allowed to ride, and NOT ride, how they are to ride, etc. Translation for thos who might think bikes are immune from the laws: -- Ron & Kelly |
